Connecting with MoveMEN!

About this event

MoveMEN! is a community for men to learn mindfulness techniques that help them support each other through life’s ups and downs. Men are facing a crisis of loneliness and lack spaces where they can safely explore their emotions. In this session, you will experience the MoveMEN! process of creating a safe space and connecting deeply with people you may not know at all. All genders welcome in this inclusive space!

About the host

Brian founded the MoveMEN! community in 2023 along with some friends. Inspired by his work with The Women’s Foundation creating the Male Allies and Young Allies programs and learning about masculinities and the ‘man box’, Brian saw the unmet needs many men have for deeper connections with other men. He drew on his yoga and meditation teacher experience to create a powerful process of self-discovery and connection using movement, meditation and mindful dialogue.

Brian is a Board Member of The Women’s Foundation, winner of the AmCham Champion for Advancement of Women Award 2017, and finalist in the Community Business Creating Social Impact Award 2024.

Sensory-friendly space

Sensory-friendly area at the AIA Carnival! The SF Express Community “A-Bus” is located near the Carnival entrance.

The "A" in A-Bus stands for “Accessibility,” “Autism,” “Art,” and “All.” This space is designed to offer a calm and welcoming environment for neurodivergent individuals and their caregivers. If you experience sensory overload, you can retreat to the A-Bus for a break and relaxation.



Carnival entry
Ticket registration for this event includes complimentary AIA Carnival access on the day. Complimentary access can be used at anytime on the day to experience the carnival before the event start time.
