The Grounds Returns This Autumn

The Grounds, Hong Kong’s most loved entertainment space, is back at AIA Vitality Park for a second season with new activities for the family, new pods, new ticket types, new food options, and new blockbuster movies. Opening its doors on Thursday, 13 October 2022, guests can look forward to a schedule packed with fun-filled movie nights, kids entertainment, wellness and fitness sessions, and more, all in an elevated setting.

Tickets go on sale Thursday, 29 September 2022 on www.zicket.co, while Visa Cardholders will enjoy a 48-hour Priority Booking Period from 12pm, 27 September. Guests can sign up for the mailing list on the event website at www.thegroundshk.com to receive the latest updates and early access to new releases.

“The Grounds allows us to continue our support towards Hong Kong’s hospitality and entertainment industries. Over the last year, we spoke to our partners and guests to better understand what they would like to see this autumn. An overwhelming 94 per cent of the Hongkongers we surveyed said they would come back and that they want more – more movies, more kids activities, and more food, so that’s exactly what we’ve planned. We can’t wait to open our gates and share our new programming, with the same giant screen, but this time with an even more premium guest experience,” said Simon Wilson, Managing Director at The Grounds.

New Pods, Tickets and Packages

This autumn, guests can once again enjoy a unique outdoor experience safely and comfortably with three pod options that suit every occasion and are allocated within their classification on a first-come-first-served basis in four-person pod configurations. Amongst the enhancements this season, the original Classic Pods now include four upgraded deck chairs, while the all-new Prime Pods feature B Project ‘sofa style’ chairs in prime viewing locations. Set to be the new crowd-favourite, The Grounds have also created five exclusive Luxe Pods. These larger, more extravagant pods come complete with a mix of luxurious chairs and sofas, a bottle of Champagne or Premium Wine on arrival, and are located in the best viewing locations. Visa cardholders can also look forward to special perks and benefits, including a 48-hour pre-sale. 

Al-fresco drinking and dining just got better

Guests can still order food from the comfort of their private pod through The Grounds’ seamless mobile ordering system, be it popcorn, tacos, gourmet burgers, authentic Vietnamese, or more. Continuing their collaboration with Basehall, the new items on the menu include signature dishes from FRANCIS, Return of Lemak, Bengal Brothers and Benko by Nüte. Cocktails, beer, wine, coffee, juice and other drinks can also be enjoyed as the bar features something for guests of all ages. Specials will include drinks by Aperol Spritz, ONLY, Orion, and Perrier. 

Experiences for the whole family

Ensuring families and friends can enjoy an after work wind-down, outdoor yoga, or a weekend activity with the kids, The Grounds has a programme line-up for all guests who wish to be social yet safe at the same time. New children’s entertainment, wellness sessions by lululemon, sustainable wellbeing by Rituals, a wide range of movies (including the Caped Crusader and teenage wizards fighting the forces of darkness) and a celebration of Hong Kong cinema in partnership with Golden Scene will be on the schedule. With its enormous LED screen and state-of-the-art sound system, The Grounds ensures a top-quality entertainment experience for everyone, no matter which activity they choose. 

The city’s first socially-distanced designed space

The health and well-being of all guests and staff continue to be the number one priority at The Grounds. All guests will be required to complete a health and travel declaration when purchasing a ticket, temperature checks will be done at the entrance, and face masks will continue to be mandatory when moving through the venue. With contactless ordering and socially distanced pods that are cleaned thoroughly in between sessions, The Grounds ensures that all recommended hygiene protocols are strictly adhered to.
