Entropy熵 Presents: Industrial Soundtrack for The Urban Decay

Our highlight of the month will be a visit from the amazing Bite Records by Phase Fatale, invited by EBM/Industrial collective Entropy. We have all been waiting for this moment and couldn’t be happier to welcome techno innovators Phase Fatale and UnHuman over to the club.

Following Entropy’s successful music documentary screening of “Paris/Berlin: 20 Years of Underground Techno” last October, Entropy continues its educational and cultural exploration into a nicher territory of electronic music, kickstarting the evening with a special screening event “Industrial Soundtrack for The Urban Decay” directed by Amelie Ravelec and Travis Collins on Saturday January 21st. Phase Fatale and Unhuman will be special guest speaker for the Q&A session, sharing their stories from the Industrial scene. The screening will be held at iisuArt Space on Hollywood Road, Sheung Wan from 7-10pm, then we migrate down a few blocks to the club for Bite Records’ performance shortly after. Entry ticket to the screening include complimentary cocktails/beers, cold cut snacks, and pizza by La Camionetta on a first come first serve basis.

Phase Fatale hardly needs an introduction - the New York native Hayden Payne enjoys residencies at Berghain and Khidi in Tbilisi, and has been the integral face of dystopian, gritty, industrial-laden electronic sounds in the last years. Since his 2017 debut release on Hospital Records he has gone on to create his own label and sound, favouring dark, ambient drones and atmospheric ambience combined with the raw punchiness of post-punk, cold wave and techno functionality. He brings with him fellow Berliner, UnHuman a.k.a. Manos Simotas - the founder of Liber Null, a German collective that expands on the concept of unifying the freedom of audio and visual arts.

A boundless explorer of experimental and dark electronics, Manos’ post-punk sensibilities has led him to release on the infamous L.I.E.S. Records, Bite, Instruments of Discipline, Veleno Viola, Amok Tapes and Strange Therapy. He is currently a resident of Constant Value in Seoul, South Korea. This event will be a fascinating one - thanks to Nanogram, Entropy’s head honcho and a meticulous DJ in his own right, who will be supporting the evening with his dark and driving sounds. Be prepared for a night of serious unleashing.
